It was the day of the "Mikeyama School Cup", which is the biggest event in the second semester (*1).
This triathlon has a lot of students participating and is quite popular among the local community.
Since the event is only for the upper grades of elementary school,
it was the first year that Fuguri could participate.
Athough Fuguri was not good at ball games, he attended took swimming classes and he was very adept in the water.
In fact, few people in his class could swim as well as he could.
He was quite motivated that morning, and want to make a good showing in the first big rally.
Even though it was late September, it was still a very hot day.
Fuguri was engrossed in his warmup under the dazzling sunshine.
