The first part of the triathlon is always the long-distance swim.
High school students start first, then junior high school students starts next,
with the elementary school starting last.
"Elementary school students: On your mark! ....Get set! ...Go!"
Fuguri rushed across the hot sand just as the signal sounded, and jumped into the sea.
Quickly he took the lead, being quite a fine swimmer.
"It's a calm sea. That's good!"
The sea was usually at its steadiest in the Autumn.
Fuguri advanced easily in the peaceful sea.
Then something strange happened out at sea.
A huge tentacle twined around the teacher's boat, and suddenly lifted it high into the air.
"What?"
Before Fuguri could realize what was happening,
a gigantic monster appeared from the depths.
"Oh, my god! I have to rescue them!"
Fuguri turned quickly and headed for shore.
